Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the use of this website and any quote, contract or work carried out by David Price Building Services (“we”, “our”, “us”).

1. Quotes

All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Quotes are based on the information and access available at the time of the site visit. Material price fluctuations or hidden defects discovered once work begins may require a revised quote, which will always be agreed in writing before any additional work is carried out.

2. Acceptance & deposit

Work is confirmed when you accept the written quote in writing or by email. A deposit may be required to secure your start date and order materials. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be agreed in advance.

3. Scope of work

The scope of work is limited to what is set out in the written quote. Anything outside that scope is treated as a variation and quoted separately before being carried out.

4. Payment terms

Stage payments are typically invoiced as agreed milestones are reached. Final payment is due on completion and inspection of the work, unless a different schedule is agreed in writing. Late payment may incur statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.

5. Workmanship guarantee

All installation and structural work is guaranteed against defects in workmanship for the period stated in your quote. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, third-party alterations, or normal wear and tear.

6. Materials & manufacturer warranties

Materials are covered by the manufacturer’s own warranty. We will register warranties on your behalf where required and pass on all relevant documentation on completion.

7. Cancellation

You have the right to cancel a contract within 14 days of acceptance under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless work has already started at your request. Cancellation after work has started may require payment for materials ordered and work completed.

8. Insurance & liability

We carry full public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the contracted works and to defects directly attributable to our workmanship. We accept no liability for pre-existing structural issues unless explicitly included in the scope.

9. Site access & safety

You agree to provide reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours and to keep children and pets away from active work areas for safety.

10. Website use

The content of this website is for general information only. Imagery, copy and project descriptions remain our intellectual property and may not be copied without permission.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
